Foothills Community Park is Boulder's recreation hub. The sprawling complex hosts youth and adult sports leagues, provides one of the city's best dog parks, and connects to trails that lead south toward Wonderland Lake and the open space system. Less scenic than Chautauqua but more functional for everyday recreation.

The Foothills Dog Park is one of Boulder's most popular off-leash areas. Fenced, with separate sections for small and large dogs. Water stations, shade structures, and benches for owners. Can get crowded on weekend mornings.
Skate Park
Well-designed concrete skate park with bowls, rails, and street elements. Free to use. Popular with skateboarders and BMX riders. Helmets required for riders under 18.
Sports Fields
Multiple soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and multipurpose fields. Most are reserved for league play during peak hours. Open for casual use when not scheduled. The park hosts tournaments throughout the summer.
Community Center

Trail Connections
The Foothills Trail runs along the west side of the park, connecting north to Wonderland Lake and south toward the Boulder Creek Path. Easy, flat walking and biking on paved paths.
