Trail Sections

Bear Creek Lake Park: Start here for the best experience. Connects to the park's trail system. Swimming and paddling nearby. Entry fee for the park.

Morrison Road Section: More urban but still follows the creek. Good access from multiple parking areas.

Lair o' the Bear: The western terminus. Beautiful Jefferson County open space with hiking trails. The trail becomes gravel as it approaches.

Connecting Trails

Bear Creek Trail connects to the South Platte River Trail on the east end, making it possible to ride from downtown Denver all the way to the foothills.

Pro Tip: Combine with a visit to Red Rocks. Park at the lake, ride west to Morrison, and you're just a short climb from the amphitheater.
