Butterfly Pavilion is one of the few standalone invertebrate zoos in the country and Westminster's top attraction. The tropical conservatory lets you walk among 1,600+ free-flying butterflies from around the world.

Tropical Wings

The Experience

Enter a warm, humid tropical conservatory filled with exotic butterflies. They land on plants, flowers, and sometimes on visitors. Wear bright colors to attract them.

Species

Butterflies from Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Species rotate seasonally. Look for Blue Morphos, Owl Butterflies, and Zebra Longwings.

Emergence Window

Watch butterflies emerge from chrysalides in the emergence lab. Staff can explain the metamorphosis process.
