Trestle Bike Park transforms Winter Park into one of Colorado's premier mountain biking destinations each summer. Lifts carry riders and bikes uphill, allowing maximum downhill fun on purpose-built trails ranging from beginner flow to expert-only descents. It's one of the best lift-served bike parks in the state.

Trail System

Over 40 miles of trails span all ability levels:

Beginner (Green): Smooth, flowing trails with gentle grades. Perfect for those new to mountain biking or lift-served riding. Wide enough to feel comfortable while learning.

Intermediate (Blue): More features, steeper sections, and technical elements. The bulk of the trail system. Flow trails with berms, rollers, and optional features.

Advanced (Black): Steep, technical terrain. Rock gardens, roots, drops, and challenging features. Requires solid bike handling skills.

Expert (Double Black): Extreme terrain for experienced riders only. Big features, steep descents, and technical challenges. Know your limits.

Trail Highlights

Long Trail: A favorite intermediate flow trail. Bermed corners, rollers, and fun features throughout. A great introduction to lift-served biking.

Rainmaker: Intermediate with excellent flow. Well-designed corners and features that reward smooth riding.

No Quarter: Advanced trail for those seeking challenge. Technical sections mixed with flow.

Village Way: Beginner-friendly route back to base. A good option when legs are tired.

Tips

Start easy: Even if you're an experienced rider, start with green or blue trails to learn the park and warm up.

Check your bike: Before each run, check brakes, tire pressure, and suspension. Lift access means lots of descending - make sure everything works.

Pace yourself: It's easy to overdo it with lift access. Take breaks, hydrate, and know when to stop.

Wear appropriate gear: Helmet required. Pads and armor recommended, especially for aggressive trails.

Arrive early: Weekend mornings are best before afternoon thunderstorms roll in. Lift access pauses during lightning.
